One major point in many cases against gays is that: It is UNNATURAL! Male with male or female with female is Wrong, (Disgusting), they shouldn't be together! Why? Cus they can't make babies like normal Heterosexual couples can.

I've thought about how gay married couples would wish a family of their own. When you love someone, you would love to have a kid with that special person. The obvious means for gay couples which everyone knows, is to adopt, but its the same as with hetero couples who are unable to have kids - they'd like a special child of their own, and many face heartaches because they can't.

So i thought, what if same-sex couples Could have babies? What if you took stem cells from a woman, and tried to turn it into a sperm? It got me thinking about changing my dream career path into Bio instead of Physics for a while.

It was only today that i got around doing some actual researching.

Interestingly, for about the last twenty years, scientists have been researching methods to achieve same-sex procreation for humans, either through the creation of female sperm or a male egg. There has been success with experiments with animals, like chicken or mice, for example.

Of course one tricky bit you might wonder about, is about the chromosomes. Female cells are generally XX, so how could you make sperms out of them? There are actually techniques such as micro-cell mediated chromosome transfer and mammalian artificial chromosomes which can be used to add natural or artificial Y chromosomes to female cells.

In February 2006, Japanese scientists at the University of Tokyo report on creating male eggs in fish, by extracting adult male germ cells from trout testicles, and transplanting them into an undifferentiated embryonic gonad in a female trout embryo's peritoneal cavity. The male eggs so produced were able to fertilized by sperm, achieving same-sex procreation in fish. While this procedure is unacceptable for humans, it does suggest that human same-sex procreation is a solvable problem.

If heterosexuals can use technical assistance to have children, same-sex couples can have children using the same methods. It wouldn't make sense to ban same-sex procreation, and therefore gay sex , and gay marriages should then be legal.

To return to the statement at the beginning, Marriage is apparently the symbolism and upholding of love, right? But now babies are just but one of the aspects of marriage, and neither does society make having children a requirement for marriage. Moreover, what has having kids got to do with truly loving another person, which is what marriage is ultimately about? Whatever shit about this gender or that sex shouldn't matter since LOVE CONQUERS ALL.
